TransTrack Solutions Group has hired Nathaniel Atherstone as a senior consultant.
Atherstone is a senior executive with more than 15 years of experience in public transit, municipal government, grants administration and environmental review. He will focus on enhancing TransTrack services with a focus on strategic planning, service development and operational excellence.
His prior role was the leadership of Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST), he developed service improvements for local routes and commuter services to/from the San Francisco Bay Area including commuter fleet procurement; securing federal and state funding for zero-emission bus implementation; and streamlining operations. Prior to his role at FAST, he served as the planning manager for the San Joaquin Regional Transit District for seven years assisting with the implementation and development of bus rapid transit and mobility services throughout Stockton, Calif.
He is active in the California Transit Association and served as a board member for the California Association for Coordinated Transportation (2018). He holds a Master of Science in Transportation Management from the Mineta Transportation Institute at San Jose State University (2010) and a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Policy from California State University Monterey Bay (2001); and was a recipient of the Mass Transit Magazine’s “40 Under 40” (2016).
