Foursquare ITP announces new hires to support growth in communications, engagement and visualization
Jerome Horne and Marc Szarkowski have joined Foursquare Integrate Transportation Planning, Inc. (Foursquare ITP) as communications and engagement specialist and visualization specialist, respectively.
“We wanted to better serve our transit agency and state and local government customers who are seeking better ways to engage with their customers and constituents in a meaningful way as part of our planning projects,” said Lora Byala, president & CEO. “We’re excited to add Jerome and Marc to our team of transportation and transit planners to expand on our capabilities in using accessible language, techniques to reach disadvantaged communities, and maps and visuals that communicate plans and ideas.”
Horne brings five years of progressively responsible roles at IndyGo in the areas of customer communications and project implementation. He is a recipient of Mass Transit magazine’s 40 Under 40 and was selected to participate in the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Emerging Leaders program later this year. As a Transportation Planning Communications & Engagement Specialist at Foursquare ITP, Horne will bring his passion and creativity in working with project teams to effectively communicate the project purpose, goals, findings and recommendations and communicate with the public and stakeholders. He will also continue to grow in his transit planning and project development skills through a variety of projects. He will be based in Baltimore, Md.
Szarkowski also brings five years of progressively responsible roles as an embedded contractor at Maryland MTA. He too is a Mass Transit magazine 40 Under 40 recipient and brings extremely impressive skills in mapping, wayfinding, 3D visualization and urban design to grow and enhance Foursquare ITP’s service offerings. He will bring his passion for all things transit and design to allow him to contribute to a variety of projects in developing maps, graphics, visualizations and visually engaging documents. His skills will allow the company to create better ways of communicating recommendations to clients and their customers. His capabilities in transit-oriented development and urban design also open up new areas in which Foursquare ITP can support its clients. He will be based in Philadelphia, Penn.
