ADL appoints Chris Gall as group engineering director to lead transition to zero-emission mobility
Chris Gall has joined Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) as the new group engineering director where he will be responsible for developing the company's product range in new technologies and new markets.
In his new role at ADL, Gall will leverage his experience to continue to develop and execute the company’s strategy and roadmap to deliver technically challenging engineering projects at pace. He will lead ADL’s team of engineering and support staff to shape the direction of technology development and respond to market demands as the bus industry transitions towards a zero-emission future.
Gall will also play an active role in continuing to drive forward innovation and synergies between the various business units within the wider NFI Group, ADL’s parent company.
A chartered mechanical engineer, Gall joins ADL from Jaguar Land Rover where he most recently held the position of chief engineer for new electrified architecture following success in several key senior and strategic leadership roles over the course of the last decade, including three years on the board of a joint venture in China.
Prior to Jaguar Land Rover, Gall spent 17 years with Ford, rising through the ranks and holding several key engineering roles in across a variety of territories including the UK, United State, Turkey and Germany.
“I am delighted we have attracted someone of the caliber of Chris to join the first-class team we have at ADL,” said Paul Davies, ADL president and managing director. “With his expertise and international experience, he will be ideally placed to lead our engineering function as we develop ever cleaner and greener buses and coaches for markets around the globe.”
