IndyGo opens applications for IndyGROW vendor development program.

Small businesses wanting to improve their proposal writing skills can now apply for IndyGo’s IndyGROW Vendor Development Program.

During the program, participants will talk about current obstacles they’re facing as part of the small business community and share their will to succeed. IndyGROW is open to small businesses not only interested in improving their proposal writing skills, but also learning more about the government contracting process. The program includes workshops, guest speakers, proposal writing and panel discussions.

“We’re incredibly thrilled to see so many businesses interested in providing services to IndyGo,” said Chelci Hunter, senior supplier diversity officer, IndyGo. “Not many small businesses have access to the resources to help boost the skills necessary to create a winning proposal. We developed this program to help them increase their chances of doing business with us and other government entities.”

IndyGo maintains an extensive list of contractors and consultants based on commodities and services provided. Because of the high number of large firms listed on its bidders’ list, IndyGo says it remains committed to providing small businesses with resources and tools to help create a robust and thorough business proposal.

“IndyGo is eager to see small businesses submit applications to the IndyGROW Vendor Development Program,” said Kevin McDuffie, supplier diversity specialist, IndyGo. “We’re confident the skills and techniques learned during the five months can make a major difference in participants understanding how government does business.”
