Akron Metro Regional Transit Authority has promoted three team members to C-level positions and is seeking a fourth executive.
The promotions mark the first step within the supporting strategy of organizational development and realignment in Akron Metro’s 10-year Strategic Plan that was approved by the Board of Trustees in November 2020.
The three to be promoted are Jay Hunter, who will serve as Chief Administrative Officer, Angela Neeley, who is now Chief Financial Officer and Jarrod Hampshire, who is Chief Operating Officer.
Akron Metro is seeking a Chief Culture Officer to lead the development and execution of aligning strategy with culture throughout the organization and in the community. This individual will play a key role in the implementation of the Reimagined Bus Network and ensuring equitable and inclusive service, partnerships, and internal/external contracts, policies, and procedures. She added, “This new tier of leadership will further support our efforts to build a transit system that will serve Summit County to its highest potential.”
