Terrel Smith joins Metro Transit Sales as vice president of new business development

Smith comes to MTS after several years in public transit product sales.

Terrel Smith has joined Metro Transit Sales (MTS) as vice president of new business development.

Smith comes to MTS after several years in public transit product sales. He has been responsible for an 18-state territory, where he exceeded sales goals and developed a strong network base.

“Terrel has the business expertise and product knowledge required for the public transit properties we serve across the nation and we are very happy to have him as part of our team,” said Tony Cunnane, founder and CEO, MTS. “It’s a milestone year for MTS in many ways. With the addition of Terrel, we also plan to serve light and commuter rail with our quality line of products.”

Smith is returning with his family from North Carolina to his home state of New Jersey for his position at MTS. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in communications and ethnic studies. He received a football scholarship and played safety for the university’s Colorado Buffaloes, an NCAA Division I football team, and served as team captain in his senior year.
