TransMark has launched a new partnership with Wabtec Bus Solutions. TransMark will be conducting outside sales, business development, and sales support for the vShield operator protection door manufactured exclusively by Wabtec Bus Solutions.

Available immediately, the vShield provides a critical defensive barrier and comfort for heavy transit bus operators. It is constructed with a large safety glass and a heavy-duty lower door to protect against assaults and other unwanted passenger interactions. The laminated safety glass is anti-reflective, antiglare and serves as a sneeze guard.

Two high-velocity fans enhance optimum airflow within the operator compartment. The electrically operated window opens and closes quickly, and the outer glass is contoured for an unobstructed view of the mirrors. A rugged door latch mechanism eliminates unwanted rattling. Built for easy installation, the vShield is ideal for both new and retrofit applications on heavy transit buses.

Designed with bus operator feedback in mind, the vShield is in use at more than 40 transit agencies in North America.

“At TransMark, we want to provide our customers with the best possible solutions, which is why TransMark is expanding its partnership network to include Wabtec Bus Solutions, an industry leader driving innovative technologies and providing best-in-class service across North America. By combining our transit industry knowledge with the expertise of Wabtec Bus Solutions, we will enable our customers to keep their operators safe and comfortable with the vShield driver protection door,” said Mark Magaldi, general manager, TransMark.
