San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) has appointed Curtis Moses as its director of safety and security. Moses brings more than two decades of experience in the transportation industry, having served at Alstom Transportation, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Charles County Transit System and Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District.
Moses is a highly qualified professional, holding certifications in Transit Rail and Bus Safety and Security Professional, Certified World Safety and Security Director, Certified Auditor, Certified FEMA Emergency Management and Terrorist Liaison Officer. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at the New York Institute of Technology in 1985 and has traveled to multiple countries engineering and managing projects for various industries.

Moses’ philosophy is, “How you come to work is how you should go home” and “Everything has an opportunity for improvement”. His personal interests include meditation, traveling, walking on beaches, researching spirituality and bible history, officiating basketball games and spending time with family.
