Miguel A. Sanchez has been named Greater Peoria Mass Transit District's (CityLink) new director of safety and training. He joins the agency with more than 30 years of experience in operational leadership with a singular focus on safety. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northeastern University. Sanchez has had a long-tenured career in various roles at UPS and he most recently worked as the environmental, health and safety director at Chicago Magnesium Cast Co.
In Sanchez’s role as safety and training director at CityLink, he will lead and coordinate the development and implementation of comprehensive safety, security, occupational health policies and training programs for the organization. This role is also responsible for overseeing safety and security procedures, accident and incident handling, training and development initiatives.

Sanchez was raised in Chicago and he is a bilingual Spanish speaker. He is actively involved with the American Society of Safety Professionals, currently serving as the vice president for the Greater Chicago Chapter. Sanchez is looking forward to making Peoria his new home and becoming more familiar with the local community.
