The first nine stations will connect East Kapolei to Aloha Stadium with two planned extensions in 2025 and 2031.
Metrolinx calls the court filing by Crosslinx Transit Solutions a delay tactic, while Crosslinx Transit Solutions says the step was needed to clear barriers to complete the project.
The station opened May 19 at 5 a.m. and will connect Alexandria to the region.
The investment will enable the proactive replacement of running rail and rail pads for TransLink’s Expo SkyTrain line over the next four years.
The project would improve critical rail infrastructure to accommodate increased intercity and commuter rail service into the future.
Project proposals will be due early 2024, with an expected execution by the end of 2024.
The 127-year-old bridge is beyond its useful life and a critical link between the Metro-North New Haven Line and the Northeast Corridor.
With the arrival of Train 2, the vehicle portion of HART’s rail system is nearly complete, with the final train expected to arrive within the next year.
