At this year’s IT-Trans, Scheidt & Bachmann demonstrated its most up-to date ticketing solutions for public transport, from March 1 to 3, in Karlsruhe, Germany. For the first time, Scheidt & Bachmann showcased their new Be-in/Be-out concept, based on an ID-based ticketing for more convenient travel. Scheidt & Bachmann also introduced its newest development Virtual Ticket Agent (ViTA), with remote personal assistance via video chat.
Scheidt & Bachmann promoted the Be-in/Be-out concept at the IT-Trans. The concept is based on an ID-based Ticketing system and uses any standard Smartphone as a medium. The FareGo BiBo-App sets new standards in mobile ticketing and offers passengers convenience like never experienced before. Unlike normal ticketing apps, the FareGo BiBo-App is not a shopping application for static ticket products, but an application that allows dynamic journey pricing in real-time. The passenger doesn’t need to do anything, not even take the phone of their pocket.
FareGo Virtual Ticketing Agent (ViTA) supports transport operators in improving customers experience when buying a ticket at a Ticket Vending Machine. ViTA transforms Scheidt & Bachmann’s ticket vending machines (TVMs) into full operational ticket agencies, offering passengers face-to-face remote assistance to help them buy their train tickets.
The IT-Trans is a leading trade show in the public transport industry. With this year’s patron, Germany’s federal minister Alexander Dobrindt, and the size of the tradeshow really emphasize its influence in the industry. More than 200 companies and service providers from 30 countries participated in the exhibition 2016.
