First and second negotiations proponents named for GO Rail Expansion - On-Corridor Works project
Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has named the first and second negotiations proponents for what the entities describe as one of the most complex components of the GO Expansion program, the GO Expansion On-Corridor Works package.
Metrolinx says the package is “a single, innovative, fully integrated contract to provide a higher level of service on the GO network” that will see a partner design and build the infrastructure, then operate and maintain the trains for 25 years.
ONxpress Transportation Partners was identified as the first negotiations proponent and EnTransit was identified as the second negotiations proponent.

Metrolinx and IO are entering into the start of the negotiations stage with ONxpress Transportation Partners to confirm the technical and financial details proposed in their bid. If the negotiations process with the proponents reaches a successful outcome in the coming weeks, the next step will be the confirmation of commercial close, at which time Metrolinx will enter a development phase with the successful proponent.
