NRC Chairman's Column: NRC Working Committees Get the Job Done. Consider Getting in on the Action
One of the many perks of being the NRC chairman is witnessing the entrepreneurial spirit of our member contractors firsthand. Their passion and dedication to the advancement of our industry helps keep our association on track and doing the best job possible for our membership. NRC committees provide excellent opportunities to engage with NRC initiatives and influence industry legislation. I encourage you to step up and get involved.

Announcing Two New NRC Committees – We’re pleased to introduce the development of two new NRC committees that focus on areas of emerging importance that require our involvement: Policy & Legislation Committee and Technology Committee.
Chaired by Curtis Bilow, an NRC board member and vice president of business development with Ames Construction, the Policy & Legislation Committee will focus on the NRC’s advocacy efforts, including the NRC’s grassroots program, political fundraising efforts, coalitions and other activities that support the NRC’s policy and legislative objectives.
Led by Allen Branham, an NRC board member and president of B4 Solutions, LLC, the Technology Committee will evaluate and promote the use of technology to enhance safety and operations for our members and the railroad industry.
The weather is improving and we will soon be hitting the prime contracting season. NRC contractors and suppliers will be busy, with many out on project sites involved in building and maintaining railroad, transit and commuter rail lines. You may not see them in action, but I can assure you the work of NRC committees continues during this season. We are building something enduring together. Please consider joining us.
