The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) will continue its station cleaning blitz this weekend at Ellsworth-Federal Station on the Broad Street Line.
Ellsworth-Federal Station will close at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and reopen everyday at 5:00 a.m. Efforts will focus on deep cleaning, including power washing and the removal of litter, debris and graffiti. To access the Broad Street Line during the nighttime closures, customers who normally use Ellsworth-Federal can go to the Lombard-South or Tasker-Morris Stations.
SEPTA has been doing these station blitzes on the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines over the last several months. In addition to this weekend, crews have been dispatched to Huntington, Somerset, Allegheny, 13th Street, 46th Street, Erie-Torresdale, Tioga and 8th Street on the Market-Frankford Line. Work has also been performed at the North Philadelphia, Snyder and Lombard-South Stations on the Broad Street Line.
