Delta Railroad Services announced the appointment of Linda Laurello as CEO on Monday, replacing Larry Laurello, who served more than 40 years with the company.

"This is a natural next step for the company," said Larry Laurello. "Linda has been integral to our operations for years, and her promotion is a testament to her dedication and expertise."

Linda Laurello holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from John Carroll University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Northeastern University, according to a press release.

She joined Delta Railroad straight out of college and quickly made her mark.

Laurello spent more than 20 years working at Delta Railroad Services in various project management, field, and financial oversight roles, according to the release.

Over the past decade, she has managed major contracts and contributed to the company's growth.

"My vision for the next generation of Delta Railroad Services will focus on innovation, expansion, and visibility," Laurello said in the release.

Larry Laurello said Linda has been ready for this role for quite some time.

"She's been effectively running the company for years now, and her transition to CEO is a well-deserved recognition of her capabilities," he said.

Delta Railroad, based in Ashtabula County, has been a key player in the railroad construction industry and expanded its focus in recent years to include passenger rail and transit projects.

The company also operates Quality Track Equipment, a division dedicated to manufacturing and remanufacturing railroad maintenance equipment.

As the new CEO, Linda Laurello will oversee both Delta Railroad and Quality Track Equipment.

Her role will also involve exploring new market opportunities for the company.

Delta Railroad employs between 150 and 250 people.

The company has continued to contribute significantly to the local economy.

"We will continue the legacy of excellence in client services that my great-grandfather, Cosmo Anthony Laurello, started when he founded the company in 1957," Laurello said in the release.

Larry Laurello emphasized that while he is stepping down as CEO, he remains committed to the company's success.

"I'm looking forward to supporting Linda and ensuring a smooth transition," he said. "I am extremely proud of what she has accomplished and excited for the future of Delta Railroad under her leadership."

Linda Laurello said she is looking forward to serving as the company's new CEO.

"I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to thank my family, friends, and colleagues who have played a role in my career journey and the hundreds of loyal and hardworking past and present Delta Railroad Services friends, employees, and customers," she said in the release.
