Christopher M. Thompson, P.E., was recently named a senior associate with Gannett Fleming. Based in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Thompson serves as a vice president and project manager of Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail Systems, a division of Gannett Fleming specializing in transit and railroad track, signal, communication, and electric traction design.
With more than 12 years of experience, Thompson’s responsibilities include overseeing overhead catenary system and structural design projects, developing and maintaining design budgets and schedules, and performing quality assurance/quality control of designs, as well as coordinating proposal development and building and maintaining client relationships.
Thompson holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Drexel University. He is a member of the American Railway Engineering & Maintenance-of-Way Association, actively participating on Committee 33 for Electric Energy Utilization. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania. Thompson resides in Philadelphia.
