London Trackwork Inc. announced it has been awarded the supply contract for the special trackwork for the Evergreen Line Rapid Transit Project. The contract is worth about $2.8 million and will take 18 months to complete.
The special trackwork contract includes: No. 8 and No. 4 geometry turnouts with moveable point and rigid frogs.
The Evergreen Line Project will improve the transportation network throughout metro Vancouver. It extends the very successful Skytrain by over 11 km (7 miles) and includes elevated and tunneling sections as well as seven stations.
