Looking to expand their presence in a number of manufacturing industries, REO-USA recently hired Alex Ward as a technical sales engineer.
In this position, he will be responsible for overseeing the drives industry and establishing name and brand recognition for the company’s various product offerings.
Ward joined REO-USA after working for ABB Inc., a Wisconsin based global power and automation technology company. Most recently he served as a senior field service engineer where he provided field support and trained operators and equipment owners on drive equipment throughout the U.S. He began working at the company in 2009 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and honed his sales skills as a project manager/engineer after working in several positions.
“Working for REO-USA is a great opportunity, and the training I received last week in Germany was invaluable,” said Ward. “This position was appealing to me because it combines sales and electrical engineering experience. Our company has a variety of cutting edge products in a number of vibrant industries, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of expanding our presence in the marketplace.”
While in school, Ward worked summer internships with Caterpillar Inc. and Indianapolis-based American Structurepoint. He also ran for Purdue’s men’s cross country and track and field teams for two seasons and was a 2010 Boston Marathon qualifier and race finisher. He and his wife Cara, currently reside in Noblesville.
