Railhead is celebrating fifty years in business as a supplier of digital video solutions, locomotive LED’s and high quality air tools in the rail, transportation and mining industries.
Railhead Corporation was founded in 1964 by Harry Robertson as a tool repair business and manufacturing rep for the railroad industry. Through the years and as business grew, Railhead went from being a manufacturer’s rep to a manufacturer. In 2004, Joseph Donnan after ten years of serving as VP of sales, became president and owner of Railhead. Joe has grown the business into three thriving divisions servicing not only rail, but also maritime and mining operations, providing LDVR’s, LED lighting and air tools.
Railhead Vision Systems is a pioneer in On-Board Video systems for Locomotives and Cab Cars installing our first system in 1995. Railhead has since supplied over 3,500 LDVR’s to the rail industry, which provide improved safety training and real time surveillance for assistance in accident investigation.
Railhead Gear is a manufacturer and distributor of Locomotive LEDs and LED safety warning lights and equipment. We are the market leader of LED bulbs for locomotives, LED blue lights, LED headlamps and LED flashlights in the Rail industry and have just released our patent pending LED Headlight. Our third division, K&E Tools has specialized in the sale and service of superior-quality air tools for over 30 years. We offer our customers and distribution partners one of the best values in the air tool business, as well as guaranteed parts availability.
Railhead has stayed true to the course set by its founder 50 years ago, and continues to work with our customers to integrate the latest technologies to improve workplace safety and security.
