As the U.S. member of the Tesmec Group, Tesmec USA Inc. is proud to follow its parent’s tradition in becoming a significant domestic manufacturer of railway equipment. To strengthen its commitment to the US Rail Industry, Tesmec USA recently joined the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and received AAR M-1003 certification.
Tesmec USA has manufacturing experience through its production of hard rock trenchers used primarily in pipeline construction. Tesmec USA entered the U.S. rail industry with the manufacturing of maintenance-of-way equipment for installation/removal of OCS and snow removal equipment in 2012.
Tesmec’s Advanced Catenary Installation Method (ACIM) is a working system for stringing the contact and supporting wire of an overhead contact line for electrification of railway infrastructure. ACIM is used in both the electrification of new railway conductors and for their repairs. ACIM offers a control of the stringing forces applied to the conductors without stressing or twisting them and assures tension accuracy regardless of towing direction, speed, air temperature, or slope.
