LTK Engineering Services announced Jan. 6 that, as of Jan. 1, Natalie E. Cornell has assumed the role of director of business development, based in the firm’s Ambler, Pennsylvania, headquarters.
She has taken over from Thomas B. Furmaniak, P.E., who led LTK’s Business Development activities for the past five years. He has been appointed to the position of director with LTK’s affiliate, NDYLTK Rail, which is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, where he will be based, beginning Feb. 1.
Immediately prior to joining LTK, Cornell managed a division of Lecip Inc., a Japanese supplier to the transit industry of both fare collection systems and LED lighting for trains. Before that, she was a marketing director in Accenture’s Transportation Practice, as well as vice president of marketing and communications for a consulting firm.
Furmaniak worked for LTK during the 1970s, after which he held senior management positions with New York City Transit and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and served as chief systemwide engineer for the Athens Metro in Greece. Since rejoining LTK in 1998, he served as vice-president for the firm’s Northwest Region, based in Portland, Oregon, and it’s Southeast Region, based in Atlanta, before assuming his business development role in 2010.
