Vertical Transportation Excellence (VTX) is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2015. Founded on May 1, 2000, the firm has grown from a staff of five to an ISO 9001:2008 Certified company serving international clients with almost $1 billion in design, maintenance, and construction project revenue.
VTX’s ASME QEI-1 certified professionals specialize in the design, modernization, and maintenance of elevators, escalators, and moving walks. The firm serves aviation, commercial, education, government, healthcare, hospitality, retail, and transit clients across the U.S. and in Puerto Rico and Canada. In recognition of its innovative designs, VTX received Elevator World magazine’s 2012 Project of the Year Award for the Terminal 4 Escalator Replacement portion of the PHX Sky Train project and the American Public Transportation Association’s 2007 Project of the Year Award for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority escalator modernization project.
Always seeking creative solutions for its clients’ challenges, VTX designed the Parametricoder and the Oculus Network to manage preventive maintenance, improve performance, and help clients’ investments last longer. The Parametricoder gathers technical data, providing precise parameters for an effective preventive maintenance program. The Oculus Network is a remote monitoring and maintenance management tool that senses when corrective action is needed, helping systems run smoothly.
“The VTX team is thankful to our many clients, whose support makes this anniversary possible. We’re thrilled to have retained all our original clients, and we look forward to serving them and welcoming new clients for many years to come,” said Patrick J. Welch, president.
