The Greater Dayton RTA announced the recent promotions of Tony Nicely to security supervisor and Thomas Nichols to p.m. shift supervisor.
Nicely is newly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Wright Stop Plaza transit center. His job is to ensure that excellent service is delivered to customers every day. He will provide leadership to the RTA transit ambassadors in their daily engagement with — and quality service to – RTA customers.
Manager of Security Gerry Gustin said Nicely is an outstanding addition to his team. “He has a friendly personality, and his presence will definitely make Wright Stop Plaza a better experience for our riders. He knows how to make our customers feel welcome, safe and valued,” said Gustin.
Nichols has been promoted to p.m. shift supervisor. As one of three in that role, he will be managing all aspects of revenue operation on the evening shift. He will provide leadership to all supervisors and bus operators within the framework of RTA’s core values. His focus will be safety, quality of service, and on-time performance.
Nichols has been with RTA nearly 5 years. He began his career as a Project Mobility driver, became a fixed route driver, and was then was promoted to an operations supervisor.
“Thomas is an employee who cares deeply about his job and the people he serves,” said Revenue Operations Manager Barbara Brookshire. “He can always be counted on to handle any situation,” she added.
