Beth Talabisco Named to SFRTA Board
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners has appointed Beth Talabisco to the Governing Board of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) as the county’s business representative. Her term is effective immediately.
Talabisco brings more than a decade of public and community service to her responsibilities with the SFRTA. She was mayor of the city of Tamarac from 2006-2014, vice mayor from 2005-2006, and a city commissioner from 2003-2006.
She has served in leadership capacities with the Broward League of Cities, as chair of the Broward League of Cities Community Investment/Reinvestment Committee, a member of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, a member of the Florida League of Mayors, and a member of both the national and statewide branches of Women in Municipal Government.
Her professional experience is primarily in personnel and professional staffing. She was the chief operating officer at Beth Norton and Co. Inc., and vice president of Absolutely Professional Staffing. She was a member of the National Association of Personnel Consultants and was on the board of directors for the Association of Personnel Consultants of New York.
