SEPTA Holds Special Papal Pass Sales Hours

SEPTA will offer weekend sales hours for purchases of $10 One Day Regional Rail Passes for the Papal Visit.

In-person sales will be available at most outlying stations that will be open during the Sept. 26-27 Papal Visit from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19, and Sept. 20. Jefferson and Suburban Stations in Center City will also have passes valid for travel from/to all outlying stations.

SEPTA is also pleased to announce that starting Sept. 17, customers will be able to purchase the One Day Regional Rail Passes for travel from/to Wilmington at the Wilmington Station. Previously, Wilmington passes had to be purchased at the Marcus Hook Station. Passes will be sold at Wilmington during weekday sales hours, and also from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sept. 19, and Sept. 20.

Three-Day Papal Visit Transit Pass

SEPTA has also expanded sales locations for Three-Day Papal Visit Transit Passes, which will be valid for travel on subways, buses and trolleys from Saturday, Sept. 26 through Monday, Sept. 28. These passes can be purchased at regular sales locations along the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines, designated cashier’s booths, and at Center City Regional Rail Stations.

Those making plans for Papal Visit travel may want to consider the PopeBus.com service available from Ryde, a long-distance transportation service SEPTA has partnered with to provide additional Papal Visit travel options.

PopeBus.com will utilize school buses to pick people up at 52 designated park-and-ride locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware, and deliver them to seven selected outlying Regional Rail stations for travel to Papal Visit events in Center City. PopeBus.com bus fares range from $15 to $49 round-trip depending on location. PopeBus.com has SEPTA One Day Regional Rail Papal Visit Passes available for an additional $10 for those who need them.
