Marguet Appointed Head of Digital Transformation at Alstom

Dec. 1, 2015

Bruno Marguet has been appointed head of digital transformation at Alstom as of November, in addition to his current responsibilities as vice president strategy.

Digitalization is key for Alstom as it is having broad impacts on Alstom products and ways of working. “Internet of Things” or connected objects represent a major possibility to optimize train operations in the rail industry. Digitalization is also an opportunity to make the company faster and more efficient, and to invent new ways of working with clients and partners. Many initiatives have already been launched. Marguet and his team’s mission will be to ensure the coordination of these initiatives, both internally and externally, and to accelerate the digitalization so as to make Alstom one of the leaders of the “industrial internet”.

Bruno Marguet joined Alstom Transport in 1985 as research and development engineer performing a PhD (Mechanical). He holds a diploma of mechanical engineer and a master’s degree in economy and administration from Lille University (France) in 1984. He then obtained a PhD in mechanical from University of Valenciennes (France) in 1990.
