John T. Grow, PE, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief strategy and marketing officer of TranSystems Corp. He has more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design and management of a wide variety of transportation projects and programs encompassing both the public and private sector.
In this role, Grow will be responsible for the expansion and success of the firm’s business development and marketing efforts and of the company’s top line and various transportation market sectors.
“John has grown our states and municipalities market sector expertly over the past four years,” CEO Richard Morsches said. “He has progressed well within the firm over the past 15 years as he led the development of our practice in Ohio, knitted together a multi-modal approach in Florida, rose to a principal level and stepped into his role as an advisor to our board of directors.”
Grow joined TranSystems in 2000. He is a principal with the firm and has held a variety of regional and national leadership positions with the firm, most recently as the states and municipalities market sector leader.
Prior to 2000, Grow served as assistant director and chief engineer for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). He has had direct involvement in the planning and design of over 400 miles of interstate highways. Additionally, he has developed and overseen complex multimodal program and project assignments for DOTs and freight rail, transit and aviation clients over his career.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The Ohio State University. He will continue to reside in the Orlando, Fla. area.
