Parsons Appoints Johnson as President of its Infrastructure Business Unit
Parsons is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael W. “Mike” Johnson as president of its Infrastructure business unit (BU). He takes over for Donald D. Graul, who has held the position on an interim basis and will continue in his role as president of Parsons’ Construction BU. The Infrastructure BU provides its customers with full-service engineering and management services in the aviation, rail and transit, transportation-related systems, and bridge and tunnel markets. In his new role, Johnson will be responsible for the BU’s worldwide operations.
“Mike has tremendous experience in the infrastructure industry, having served in a leadership capacity in each of our market lines,” said Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ chairman and CEO. “I’m delighted that he has agreed to take on this important leadership role and am confident he’ll lead our Infrastructure business unit to new heights.”
Johnson has more than 25 years of experience with Parsons and has held a succession of positions with increasing responsibilities. His most recent position was executive vice president and global business development manager of Parsons Transportation Group, Inc. (PTG), now known as Infrastructure. In this role, he led the BU’s global sales and marketing program. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, strategy development & implementation. In this role, he guided PTG’s mergers and acquisitions activities and oversaw the implementation of the BU’s strategic initiatives. Before that, he served as senior vice president and Manager of PTG’s Bridge & Tunnel Division.
Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, and he also completed the Executive Management Program at the Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth College).
