There will be regular updates to the Innovation Report between now and the start of the trade show, when it will be available in printed form.

International product debuts: eagerly anticipated

They are eagerly awaited every two years, and this year they are again among the highlights for trade visitors and media representatives: the products making their international debut. In the Railway Technology segment, for example, the German company Aucotec AG is presenting its new configuration concept for the rail vehicle industry for the first time, from a cross-border ’corridor locomotive’ to an individual regional train.

And in the Public Transport segment Azimut Train Solutions has something for the eyes and ears of trade visitors. On show for the first time anywhere in the world, this Spanish company’s individual on-board entertainment system enables passengers to access all kinds of multimedia content from their own smartphones, tablets or notebooks, or via on-board screens. With no fewer than four products making their world debut at InnoTrans 2016, also in the Public Transport segment, CN-Consult GmbH from Germany is including a passenger information system, DiLoc|OnBoard, in its display. It provides train, bus and ship passengers with real time details about operating status, punctuality and connections.

NEM Solutions from Spain is using the Railway Infrastructure segment for the first presentation of its “A.U.R.A Desk“, an intelligent workstation that has been developed to monitor and manage commercial performance figures and associated data. Among the exhibitors in the Interiors segment is AWP-Präzisionsteile GmbH with its electromechanical/electronic “Easy Release Modular System“, ERMS, which can release a pressurized gas suspension unit with an actuating force of only two to five newtons, and is centrally controlled. In the Tunnel Construction segment the French exhibitor Flexelec is providing details about its new silicon heating mat, the FlexMat, which is preformed and with double insulation for long term water resistance.
