Ryan Davis has been appointed a contracts manager with WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.
Davis, who is based in the firm’s Los Angeles transportation & infrastructure office, provides contract management support for the Purple Line Extension project in Los Angeles, coordinating with project controls efforts on key financial, staffing and reporting activities and monitoring and coordinating contract compliance for 41 subcontractors, 16 independent consultant technical experts and three vendors. The $6.5 billion dollar project will extend the subway line nine miles westward through seven new stations.
Davis comes to WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff following a 20-year career as an officer in the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps, most recently serving in Tokyo as a staff engineer officer responsible for four Government of Japan-funded construction programs for U.S. military installations. He previously worked as a production officer for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s public works department in Washington, D.C. and also served as a resident officer in charge of construction at Department of Defense facilities in Virginia.
Davis received a master of business administration degree from Cornell University, a master of science in civil engineering from the University of Maryland and a bachelor of science in environmental engineering from the University of Florida.
