Olson Joins Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail as West Region Business Line Leader
Eric Olson, PE, has joined Gannett Fleming as transit & rail business line leader for the west region. In this role, Olson is responsible for Gannett Fleming’s portfolio of transit clients and projects and works to assure that Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail delivers the highest level of service to them.
During Olson’s 30-plus years of experience, he led the delivery of a number of large transit and rail programs, most recently serving as chief project officer for the Exposition Authority responsible for delivering the $2.5 Billion Exposition Light Rail Project. Previously Eric led the delivery of the Pasadena Gold Line LRT and the extension of the Gold Line into East LA. With extensive experience in design-build delivery and light rail projects, he is responsible for providing Gannett Fleming’s expertise to meet the needs and solve the challenges of the firm’s diverse Transit & Rail clients.

Olson holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from California State Polytechnic University and a master of business administration from the University of Southern California. He is affiliated with the Design-Build Institute of America, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Public Transit Association.
