80 innovators and four days packed with fun. In six months time InnoTrans will be extending an invitation to attend the first hackathon on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Hacka’what? A hackathon is a kind of technology marathon for hackers where endurance is required from the software developers, designers and industry experts who are programming.
Over a period of four days (September 18 to 21) at the CityCube Berlin the focus will be on algorithms, bots and prototypes. Activities will include developing new ideas for networked mobile solutions. On the Friday of the trade fair the computer pioneers will present their results at the forum in the Career & Education Hall (7.1c). The group with the most exciting and innovative software solution will be honored directly as the winners. Trade visitors at InnoTrans can take part in the presentation and contribute their expertise beforehand during the hackathon’s public opening times.
The hackathon is organised by Hack Partners. The company has several years of experience organizing coding events and specializes in the rail transport sector.
”The HackTrain initiative’s goal is the digital transformation of the rail industry,“ said River Tamoor Baig, founder and CEO of Hack Partners. ”InnoTrans is an incredibly exciting and energetic environment. So is our hackathon. In the space of four days that is where computer solutions will be developed to tackle the biggest challenges facing the rail industry. Hold on to your sock and hats, otherwise they might get blown away!”
