Herzog and Nebraska Central Railroad Company completed interoperability testing for Positive Train Control in November.
Herzog was able to complete NCRC’s lab and field testing with revenue service that started on
Feb. 1st. With interoperability testing complete, NCRC has met the requirements of the FRA and can run PTC-active trains on Class I territory. NCRC is using Herzog as Hosted Service Provider and PTC Operations Support Desk.
Transitioning into the 24/7 support role has begun.
