TransIT Drivers of the Year Recognized at Public Information Briefing

Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner recently announced, at a public information briefing, the 2016 Transit Services Drivers of the Year for Fixed Route Service and Paratransit Service. The “Fixed Route Driver of the Year” is Jeffrey Raines and the “Paratransit Driver of the Year” is Madelyn Hayward. Drivers are selected based on their safe driving records, exceptional attendance, positive attitude, outstanding teamwork, and provide excellent customer service skills.

Raines was selected by his peers for his dependability, excellent customer service, and enthusiasm for his job and TransIT. Co-workers commonly stated that “Jeff is always helping and volunteering. He’s an excellent team player!”

Hayward was recognized by her co-workers for being a safe driver and for always having a positive attitude. Co-workers stated that Hayward, “is always happy, always positive, and nice to everyone!”

In recognition for being selected as "Driver of The Year," Jeffrey Raines and Madelyn Hayward each received a commemorative plaque and certificate. Raines and Hayward are part of the outstanding team of dedicated professional drivers that provides quality service when transporting Frederick County citizens. TransIT drivers are frequently commended by customers as well as their peers for their exemplary performance.
