Apollo Video Technology introduces several new innovative solutions that allow transit bus and rail systems to provide a greater level of safety, security and efficiency. A new 4K video resolution recording system and a 360-degree camera will join Apollo Video’s market-leading RoadRunner product line.
The RoadRunner 4K system delivers unprecedented video clarity, enabling superior analytics and a clearer picture of activities on and around buses and trains.
RoadRunner 4K captures wide views and allows users to zoom in on specific areas with greater retention of detail than possible from images originating in standard high definition, meaning everything from license plates to facial features are clear and recognizable.
Apollo Video’s 360-degree camera enables transit operators to achieve maximum, panoramic video coverage with the use of fewer installed cameras. Transit cameras are typically limited in viewing angle, resulting in coverage gaps as passengers move through the vehicle.
“These advancements in video quality improve the accuracy of video analytics, and support further expansion of our next generation software management with tools that enhance safety and provide video evidence, while increasing efficiency and rider experience,” said Rodell Notbohm, Apollo Video Technology CEO.
Apollo Video will also demonstrate their leading-edge management software in booth 7509 at the APTA Expo in Atlanta, Oct. 9-11, 2017. The software provides enhanced tools and information to pro-actively manage onboard video surveillance systems; improving operator performance, streamlining operations, reducing accidents and mitigating liability claims.
