Chatham Area Transit (CAT), in partnership with the city of Savannah, Ga., is reinforcing its commitment to safety as concerns of unruly or inappropriate passenger behavior increases.
CAT is calling upon its passengers to join in its collective mission of vigilance and support: "If you see something, say something."
"Public transportation is an urgent need in our community and the safety of our operators and passengers is of our utmost priority. The city of Savannah will not tolerate indecent or criminal acts committed against either and we will work with Chatham Area Transit in prosecuting perpetrators to the highest extent of the law,” said Savannah Mayor Van R. Johnson.
