AssetWorks, a Trapeze Group company and leading provider of enterprise asset management software and automated fuel management systems, announced today that it has signed a contract with JAUNT, Inc. (JAUNT) to deploy its fleet management software application.
Consistently recognized both statewide and nationally for its high quality service, performance record and efficient coordinated service, JAUNT is a regional transportation system that makes over 300,000 trips per year for the citizens of six Virginia counties. JAUNT, established in 1975, is owned by the local governments it serves and uses federal, state and local funding to supplement fares and agency payments.
JAUNT has used Trapeze Group's demand response scheduling solution PASS for many years and sought a maintenance management system that could integrate with this and other existing systems. "JAUNT chose AssetWorks' software after a careful review because it is integrated with Trapeze. This can help us to automatically capture vehicle usage information and pass it from the Operations Department to the Maintenance Department. Since the information that maintenance needs is already automatically captured on board our vehicles, automating updates to our maintenance system can help us ensure we are servicing our vehicles on a timely basis" states Donna Shaunesey, executive director of JAUNT.
"We are excited to welcome JAUNT as a customer and look forward to a successful implementation," states Carl Bruce, vice president of sales and marketing for AssetWorks. "JAUNT joins a long list of transit customers in the mid-Atlantic region including Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), Greater Roanoke Transit Company (Valley Metro), Delaware Transit Corporation (DART First State), Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) and the State of North Carolina DOT, Public Transportation Division."
