The Missouri City Park & Ride offers riders greater mobility and flexibility with their travel plans with better connectivity to the local medical center and shopping areas.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (Houston Metro) leadership cut the ribbon on its new Missouri City Park & Ride. The agency celebrated the new transit hub opening with Missouri City Mayor Robin Elackatt, Missouri City council members, Fort Bend County Commissioner Grady Prestage and NewQuest Properties.

"As part of METRONow, creating reliable and accessible mobility opportunities for all in the Houston region is a top priority," said Missouri City Board Chair Elizabeth Gonzalez Brock. "The Missouri City Park & Ride not only meets the current mobility demands but also is designed to accommodate the continued growth in this area."

Houston Metro says the new facility will serve as a modern transit hub, providing direct service every 15 minutes to the Texas Medical Center with options to transfer to METRORail or local bus routes. Designed for rider comfort and convenience, the facility offers 1,750 covered parking spaces and a covered waiting area.

"With this garage, our residents gain greater mobility and flexibility, whether you are commuting to your job, especially our dedicated healthcare professionals traveling to the Texas Medical Center or simply enjoying shopping or visiting the zoo,"  Elackatt said.

The facility is part of NewQuest Properties' Fort Bend Town Center development, a mixed-use lifestyle center that includes housing, retail and entertainment venues. Since opening earlier this year, the facility serves about 500 people every weekday and is built to accommodate future growth in the area.
