Valley Transit Began Operations at Staples Street Center

Valley Transit began operation August 1, 2016 at 6 a.m. at the new Staples Street Center. This would make Valley Transit the 3rd organization to move in to the Staples Street Center home.

Valley Transit, a full-service bus operation with intercity, airport shuttle, charter and package express service was previously stationed in downtown Corpus Christi between Starr Street and Chaparral. The company employs more than 150 professionals trained to provide quality customer service and serves South Central Texas and Northern Mexico with more than 50 daily schedules.

“This is a great partnership, not only for the CCRTA, but for Corpus Christi,” said Jorge Cruz-Aedo, CEO at CCRTA.

This new partnership with the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) allows for better accessibility for local residents and visitors of the Coastal Bend area. Transit riders will be able to travel to Corpus Christi and throughout the community with ease.

With every bus one can expect a great trip with free Wi-Fi, individual power outlets, and extra leg room. Along with great amenities riders can also take advantage of Valley Transits discount opportunities for students, military, and veterans.

Valley Transit offers custom-designed charter service to points throughout the continental United States. They provide charter service for conventions, airport transfers, school and group trips. Along with Valley Transit, the Staples Street Center will also be home to the MPO, Veterans and Human Services and STSARS.
