Tolar Manufacturing Company designed and built nine Niagara Series transit shelters for the 3,300-acre Tradepoint Atlantic site in Baltimore, Md. Facilitating employee movement in and out of the site, the 16-, 32- and 48-foot shelters are customized with modular flexibility and configurations up to triple wide options accommodating varying footprints throughout the property. The design incorporates double windscreen walls made of protective polycarbonate and perforated panels, under roof security lighting and overhead 208V electric 2500W infrared heaters with controls. Tolar designed and incorporated the Tradepoint Atlantic logo into the shelter framework to create a Sense of Place for transit riders, the developer and the community.
