The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has reminded customers the cost of most fares and passes will increase on Jan. 1, 2017.
In November, the TTC Board approved a 10 cent increase to the cost of a token and PRESTO adult fare, as well as a $4.75 increase to the cost of a Metropass. Senior/Student fares (cash and tickets) will increase by 10 cents. Day Passes, GTA weekly passes and Downtown Express Stickers will also increase, as outlined below.
The TTC Board also voted to freeze the current price of adult cash fares at $3.25 and children 12 and younger will still ride for free.

The TTC has budgeted service to carry 545 million trips in 2017, with an operating budget of nearly $1.8 billion.
