King County Metro's first Digital Bus Stop® up and running
Aug. 27, 2021
King County Metro and Connectpoint have been planning for the deployment of hundreds of Connectpoint’s smart city digital displays over the next five years.
The first Connectpoint CP-42 Digital Bus Stop® has been installed at King County Metro Transit’s testing facility.
Since the start of 2021, King County Metro and Connectpoint have been planning for the deployment of hundreds of Connectpoint’s smart city digital displays over the next five years.
Connectpoint will be assisting King County Metro in new capital projects, such as the H Line bus rapid transit, in addition to replacing existing signage with 13-inch, 32-inch and 42-inch ePaper displays. These will be installed at highly-trafficked bus stops, transit centers and corridors across the city.
The new solar-powered signage will deliver real-time arrivals, departures and alerts to riders. The synchronized, cloud-based displays can be controlled and managed remotely 24/7 through Connectpoint’s personalized content management system, CPAM®, giving King County Metro messaging flexibility to provide a better customer experience.
