Solotech partnering with Papercast to bring E-Paper signage displays to North America
Solotech is partnering with Papercast to bring E-Paper signage displays to North America. The partnership will leverage Solotech’s expertise in intelligent transportation systems with Papercast’s passenger information display technology.
Papercast’s range of battery- and solar- powered, wireless e-paper bus stop displays have been engineered to deliver functionality and low energy consumption. The displays can be installed within 30 minutes, and the cloud-based Content Management System provides complete control and real-time data integration, making it easy to share timely and accurate information with the public.
Some of the benefits of Papercast’s e-paper solutions include:
E-paper has become the technology for getting live information to the public in a sustainable manner and to locations where mains power is not readily available.
- E-paper combines maximum outdoor readability within energy efficiency, with built-in illumination for low light visibility.
- Papercast displays consume roughly three times the power than comparable e-paper solutions and up to 32 times less than other display technologies.
- Ruggedized IP67 and IK09 enclosures offer strong environmental protection and impact resistance.
- ADA compliant, the displays are as intuitive, accessible and safe as possible to support people with mobility issues, hearing or visual impairment.
- E Ink e-paper screen technology is certified as Dark Sky Friendly, minimizing light pollution in the nighttime environment.
“With its e-paper solution deployed in several countries globally, Papercast has become a seasoned leader in the public transport signage market,” said Jonathan Henri, global market leader, transportation and critical application, Solotech. “We are pleased to further support our transport clients seeking more sustainable technologies and continue our journey to deliver more eco-conscious projects.”
