ON: Trapeze Group Appoints Chief Technology Officer For North America
Trapeze Group on June 24 announced the appointment of Marsha Moore as chief technology officer (CTO) for Trapeze Group North America.
Moore comes to Trapeze from MV Transportation as its chief technology officer; where she led MV’s research and development efforts, and had oversight of all transit technology development. Moore brings more than 30 years of information technology experience and has remained a forerunner in software development, specifically in passenger transportation.
“As Trapeze opens this new position up, we are confident that Marsha is the right person to keep us at the forefront of technology," said John Hines, president of Trapeze Group North America. "She has a proven ability to create strategic clarity, drive innovation and growth, ensure disciplined execution, and deliver results.”
As CTO for Trapeze, Moore’s mandate is to seize opportunities for growth, focus clearly, move faster and continue to transform. A big part of the job is to accelerate Trapeze’s ability to bring innovative products to customers at a faster rate.
“I am honored to have been asked to take this role, and excited about the possibilities that lie in the future of people transportation," Moore said. "Trapeze, with its deep experience in connecting people and transit, is well-positioned to tap new opportunities during this time of technological change. I hope to apply my years of transit operational experience to help build software tools that will continue to increase efficiencies for our clients and enhance the experience for their passengers,” added Moore. “I look forward to working with the entire Trapeze team as we embark on this exciting journey together."
Beginning her IT career creating routing and scheduling systems for different industries, Marsha founded On-Line Data Products Inc., the company responsible for the paratransit industry’s first automated scheduling system–Paratransit Automated Scheduling System (PASS). The PASS algorithm transformed transit management and raised the benchmark in cost-efficient, passenger-oriented service.
