Black Box Corp. Directors Elect New Member to the Board
Black Box Corp. announced Dec. 2 that its board of directors has elected Richard Elias to the Board. His term will expire at the next annual meeting of stockholders at which time it is expected that he will stand for election by the stockholders.
Elias served as the senior vice president – optical and specialty materials of PPG Ind. Inc. from July 2008 through his retirement on April 1. Prior to that he held the position of vice president, optical products of PPG Ind. Inc. Earlier in his career, as president of Transition Optical Inc. (TOI), Elias was instrumental in the development of TOI as the number one global prescription lens brand and world leader in employee engagement, where they were awarded the Gallup Great Workplace award four times. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and holds an M.B.A. from Marquette University.
