Founded in 1985 in Rockville, Maryland, Scantek Inc. began as a joint venture between Norwegian Electronics AS (Norsonic) and Richard J. Peppin. Scantek’s mission was to provide high-end instrumentation and engineering solutions to complex noise and vibration problems. In the early 1990’s Scantek expanded its business services into rental instrumentation and calibration. In 2000, Scantek commissioned the Scantek Calibration Laboratory (SCL). The SCL achieved NVLAP accreditation in 2003. Throughout its history, Scantek has served as a distributor for several internationally recognized manufacturers of the world’s finest sound & vibration instrumentation and predictive software.
As it celebrate the 30th anniversary, Scantek want to express its sincere appreciation to all of our customers who have shown their continued support throughout the years.
