Dec. 15, 2015

Digital Signage Expo (DSE) announced Dec. 15, that its 24-part Digital Signage Seminar Program at DSE 2016 designed specifically for End Users will include an hour-long session titled, “Critical New Privacy Paradigms to Know About as You Design your Content, Campaigns and Installations.”

Pam Dixon, executive director of the World Privacy Forum, will provide an overview of the most important and relevant developments in privacy that are impacting digital signage practices today in a variety of settings from campus and retail to restaurant and healthcare, including key practical steps to take to assess for potential privacy problems.

“While we do not have any privacy guidelines specific to digital signage, we refrain from using any image or intellectual property without express written permission. We are in the process of developing privacy standards in connection with the capture and use of any data or other information including location and tracking information, in connection with or arising from our advertising licensee’s activities within the MTA system," said Paul Fleuranges, vice president corporate communications, New York City Transit Authority
