OSPT Alliance Webinar to Examine Benefits of Using Open Standards within HCE-Based Ticketing Solutions
The Open Standard for Public Transport (OSPT) Alliance is hosting a free-to-attend webinar to demonstrate the value of using open standards within HCE technology. The sessions entitled ‘The CIPURSE open standard for HCE-based ticketing solutions’ will be of value to all stakeholders involved in advancing the capabilities, security and efficiencies of public transport ticketing systems and beyond. It will take place on Wednesday 20 April, 11am CET and Thursday 21 April, 4pm CET.
The session, delivered by OSPT Member, Viktor Brajak, will show the value HCE technology can bring to transport ticketing. It will explain how the structural constraints public transport imposes on HCE technology can be overcome through the use of open standards.
The 40-minute session will also explain how the OSPT Alliance open standard, CIPURSE, used in association with HCE, can enhance openness and security and protect investment through adherence to standards and multi-platform compatibility.
Laurent Cremer, executive director at OSPT Alliance comments “We’re delighted to announce our first webinar sessions for 2016. HCE is an important topic in public transport, but there are perceived challenges in implementing the technology due to the particular requirements of automated fare collection in our sector. We therefore felt it was important for OSPT Alliance to demonstrate how it is possible to address these issues through the use of the CIPURSE open standard.”
CIPURSE offers an advanced foundation for developing highly secure, interoperable and flexible transit fare collection solutions. It is built on proven standards, including ISO 7816, AES-128 and ISO/IEC 14443-4 for securing multiple payment types. The standard supports flexible design and deployment alternatives for transit system integrators and consultants.
