Apollo Video to Present at 2016 APTA Bus & Paratransit Conference on Technology
Apollo Video Technology (Apollo Video) will be presenting at a session on May 17 at 9:30 ET at the 2016 APTA Bus & Paratransit Conference on how technology improves both transit operations and customer service. Harry White, Market Account Manager for the Southeast, will lead a discussion on how mobile video surveillance delivers true ROI to agencies—both in monetary value and other on-board benefits. Apollo Video will:
- Review how high quality images have proved vital in assisting investigators with identifying criminals on-board and in the vicinity of buses (along routes and bus stops through exterior cameras)
- Explore on-board methods that deter criminal activity and increase feelings of safety among passengers and operators alike (for example: on-board monitors)
- Examine the use of reliable video surveillance evidence in determining liability in the event of an incident, saving agencies’ litigation costs from unsubstantiated claims
- Discuss how intelligent video management software solutions can identify risky behavioral trends and improve operator performance
In addition to presenting at the show, Apollo Video will also be exhibiting at Booth #300 where they plan to highlight the dual streaming feature of the RoadRunner HD and the location feature of ViM (Vehicle Information Management) Software. The dual streaming feature simultaneously records a high definition video stream for critical evidence and a high quality video stream for long-term storage, while the location feature enables transit staff to request clips by location to quickly and easily provide pertinent footage to law enforcement when requested.
