Ozark Regional Transit (ORT) has announced a revamped website currently online and in use. Aesthetically cleaner and easier to explore, the new website incorporates more tools, more site-based forms and greater accessibility to information.
This is the first significant update to the site in almost three years and by using a new web host, every facet will be much, much faster. “There are now multiple links to bus-tracking tools; making it much easier to find that information, no matter what part of the site a person might be exploring,” said Ashlee Lance, ORT’s I.T. Specialist. “There’s a whole lot of features that users will discover naturally and should find very helpful to them, no matter what they’re searching for.”
Applications for employment at ORT can now be performed solely via the website, making the application process much easier, quicker and devoid of the need for paper.
Scheduled Para-Transit ride requests can now be made using the website’s tools. Jason Lance, ORT operations manager explained, “That feature alone will save our passengers’ and our staff’s time, making ORT more efficient, and the whole process more effective; not to mention the obvious benefits to our hearing-impaired passengers. Overall, we will be able to serve even more passengers with our existing fleet.”
Bus passes can be purchased online using credit or debit cards or with PayPal. Of course, they can still be purchased at ORT’s offices on 2423 E Robinson Rd. in Springdale or through any bus driver by cash or check. Several bus pass options are available.
ORT Board Meeting minutes and monthly ridership statistics will also be posted to the website for the public’s information.
ORT is confident the new look and revamped features will add more convenience for their passengers and have an even more broad appeal.
